Wow.. long time no post! I've been pretty busy planning my school schedule for next year, job searching and apartment hunting. Anyway, enough excuses. Here's my belated "Go visit Bill!" post. A new Starlust sim opened about a week ago, and it's fabulous! It features two sections of nice traditional-style shops, and a big beach in the middle surrounded by some more shops.

Here I am dressed in Zaara, with free shoes from 50 Flats, and Maitreya hair on my head, all over a Curio skin. Phew! Credits take care of. My shop is the purple one in the background. :)

In honor of my new shop, I've released some new tops. For one week, they'll be available only at my Bill location, and will also be only 40L each! :) For 40L, you might as well try one.

Not only does Bill feature some awesome shops, but there's also a long bridge with tons of freebies and dollarbies (including one from me for 0L). I've had so much fun trying on all the gifts -- I'm sure you will too! Come on down and have some fun with Bill.

I've really been trying to cut down on my spending lately. I bought 2 fat packs of skins recently, and said "That's it! I'm done spending!" Of course, that only lasted until the Novocaine hair sale at Truth & the shoe sale at Kookie... you know how it goes! Since I cracked and spent some Lindens, I figured I'd at least take the opportunity to show them off, along with a free gift from Lost Angel Industries. They have a fairly new sim with quite a few free gift bags hidden inside. The gifts include poses/posing objects for single avs and couples. This tv was my favorite!

And now the obligatory face post! Excuse my look while I work on my shape.. I just had to show off the hair and the glasses.
Aren't the glasses lovely? I had to buy the fat pack -- Artilleri's fat pack prices are insanely good/insanely discounted.

Today I realized that it'd been awhile since I dressed vintage. I used the Betwitched! set at the new Striking Poses "Harlow" sim as my set.. it's a very nice place to take photos. The outfits and shoes in the pics below are free, so go pick them up if you haven't! Slurls following the photos.

This outfit by Ingenue is perfect for a night out on the town! The bronze color of the wrap matched my hair and shoes perfectly!

This look is a bit more casual. I think I'd look just right dragging and Electrolux behind me. The hair is just your average 'set', with some casual capris and a bandana top by Artilleri.

Stop down to Bai Bye today to get two free shirts! The first shirt is called "Hope" and will only be for sale today, in honor of cancer awareness. Now you have no excuse not to wear purple today! The second shirt is free in honor of pride week. It will be a dollarbie for a while, but it's free this week (ignore the sign saying it's 1L).

The hair in this picture is a subscribo gift from Inorite. It adds a nice touch to the purple shirt. :)

Elate! - Maria

Today I'm celebrating the Elate! "Maria" dress. The Maria has been out for a while now, but was sent out as a blogger appreciation gift. I was immediately reminded of how much I like this dress! The Plum version of this dress comes with a pink rose collar, but I've put on a white rose collar instead. Not only can you mix and match the roses with the various colors of the Maria dress, but the rose collars also work well with other outfits.

Matching the collar perfectly, Elate! sells rose rings in 4 colors (the same colors as the collars are available in). I always wear the matching rose ring when I wear a Maria dress, but I also often finding myself throwing on a rose ring with other types of outfits.

I've chosen a simple short hairstyle to go with the dress, as to not overshadow the collar. This particular style is "Jess" by Truth. It's a recent freebie -- so make sure to go pick it up!

The Wonderland sims are really worth a visit! :) There's March Hare & Red Queen, and they are filled with interesting shops. Even if you don't plan on buying, the decor of the sim is worth taking a look at.

"The" Summer Shoes?

Do we have a winner for the "must-have shoes of the summer"? I've seen these Kalnins "Coquette" shoes on quite a few blogs in the past week & they've looked great in every post! It's finally getting hot here in MN, so these shoes have kind of marked the summer for me. If these shoes began my summer, I'm anxious to see what other designers bring throughout the season!

This past week was Blogger Appreciation Week, hosted by Callie Cline. And what a wonderful idea it was! I enjoyed the opportunity to join the group--not only for the gifts, but also to find other bloggers and drop off a little gift for everyone else. I've included some of the gifts and this post, and will blog more later. I'm still unpacking boxes! The hair in the above picture was a former hunt gift from Tiny Bird and the skin was a blogger gift from Your Skin & Your Shape. The outfit was one of my first every SL purchases! It's from Myth.

I've really fallen in love with the Your Skin & Your Shape summer skins! I normal like a paler skin, but the tan looks so natural on these that I can't resist. In this post, I've shown 2 shades, but they do come in a darker color if you'd prefer.

The dress on the right was a blogger gift from Beauty Avatar Couture. I love the details, especially the silver top! Magika gave their "Curl Hair" as a gift to bloggers. I'm wearing it in Brown A. Magika has tons of styles available.. It's such a fun shop to visit!

The shoes, once again, are the Kalnins "Coquette" sandals. As soon as I unpacked them, I sat around for 20 mins playing with color combos. I used to match shoes to the outfit, now I'm matching outfits to the shoes! Alright, onto outfit info...

Red & Blue -- Yay for new stores!

I've been needing some new lingerie lately & I'd heard that a new store/compound of stores had opened up on Sunday, so I decided to make a quick trip and see what they had. Luckily, I was able to kill two birds with one stone!

You should definitely take a trip to Pacadi Jasha and check out their wide selection of items! The clothing is beautiful, the jewelry is great, the color selection is massive... I could go on and on. Go look! While you're out, stop by lamb and get the group gift hair.

Happy Friday & New Katat0nik Sim

In order to celebrate the opening of Katat0nik's sim, I bring you a post based on a (very inexpensive and) very beautiful Katat0nik skirt.

The Katat0nik sim is gorgeous, and definitely deserves a visit! There's lots of cute shops plus, of course, an awesomely huge Katat0nik shop. Katat0nik's new location has quite a few goodies on sale for between 1 and 25L for fat packs! If you're not sure if Katat0nik clothes are quite your style, now is the time to go grab some of the inexpensive items and try them on. I know I'll be going back for a party dress or two!

While you're out, make sure to visit Violet Voltaire's shop before her jewelry sale ends. Some of her older items are on sale for really cheap also (I think this set was only about 10L.)

A quick note about the hair--I don't see Kin hair blogged much, but it really should be! Kin carries more current styles (like this one), as well as some great retro styles!

Today I was in a mood to wear black/white/grey. I came up with a couple outfits using some of the same pieces. I made use of Waka & Yuki's 50L hair sale, as well as one of my favorite hairstyles in grey -- a color I never know what to do with!

Eep, sorry for the delay in a second post -- I have been busy opening my first shop!

Anyway, today I decided to make a new shape for the Rockberry "Uma" skin group gift. Then, of course, I had to find a suitable outfit. Here is the result!

I bought this dress awhile ago, but haven't worn it very much. I don't think it's as flattering on my normal curvy shape. With this nice natural skin, though, and small hips, it looks wonderful!
